More details have emerged about what led to the arrest of Nigerian crossdresser, and Social media personality, Idris Olanrewaju, popularly known as Bobrisky.

It could be recalled that that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC accused the socialite of abusing the naira, hence his arrest in the early hours of April 4, 2024.

However, shortly after the EFCC picked up the socialite for abusing the naira, Nigerians dug up videos of him spraying cash at an event

The controversy surrounding Bobrisky escalated following an award for 'Best Dressed Female at a movie premiere, which resulted in an online debate and a clash with the artist Portable and the social media critic Verydarkman.

The award, which came with a one million Naira cash prize, was questioned by many, including musician Portable, who expressed his disapproval by releasing a diss track targeted at Bobrisky.

The situation intensified when Verydarkman, known for his vocal criticism on social media called Bobrisky out, and questioned why the best dressed female award was given to her.

Bobrisky was allegedly involved in the arrest of Verydarkman, who was recently released from jail after spending two weeks in the cell.

Following his release, verydarkman took to social media to call on the police to arrest cross-dresser Bobrisky within 7 days.
