Federal Government Approves New Structure For FIRS

As reported by Newsmen, In a significant development aimed at enhancing efficiency, the Federal Government has given its nod to a revamped organizational structure for the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS).

The announcement was made on Monday through an official statement released by the FIRS, with the Special Adviser Media to the Executive Chairman, Dare Adekanmbi, signing off on the communication.

According to the statement, the FIRS is set to undergo a substantial reorganization, signaling a strategic move to bolster its operations.

Dare Adekanmbi revealed that the upcoming unveiling of the new structure will be conducted by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Wale Edun. This unveiling is scheduled to take place during a two-day strategic management meeting of the FIRS in Abuja, emphasizing the importance attached to the organizational changes.

The approved restructuring initiative is expected to position the FIRS for improved effectiveness in carrying out its mandate in revenue generation and taxation.
