The Eagle reports that the unofficial trading market (black market) operators in Lagos and Abuja are trading Dollar to Naira at N1340/$ today, 19th January, 2024.

The local currency further slumped against the USD as Thursday's session settled at N1315/$.

The buying rate is N1330/$ in Lagos, and trades the same in Abuja, while the selling rate is N1340/$ in both cities.

At the Peer2Peer (P2P) trading exchange, the local currency fell to commence trade at N1350/$ against N1315/$ it traded yesterday.

While at the official NAFEM market, the domestic currency appreciated 3.13% to close at N902.08 to a dollar.

This represents an N29.15 gain or a 3.13% increase in the local currency compared to the N931.23 closed on Friday.
