Chelsea submit £73m bid to sign Gyokeres
Blockbuster reports from Portugal claim Chelsea have made a big-money bid to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting. The Swede has been a revelation since joining from Coventry City in the summer and has 20 goals and 10 assists in just 24 appearances. Portuguese outlet Record say Chelsea have submitted a bid worth £73m but that Sporting will not sell for any less than the striker's £87m release clause.
Man United target move for Matthijs de Ligt
Manchester United are targeting superstar Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt for a potential summer transfer, it has been claimed. Sky Sport Germany say De Ligt is not completely satisfied at Bayern under Thomas Tuchel because he is not a guaranteed starter. Bayern are also trying to strengthen their defence by signing Ronald Araujo from Barcelona and the Dutchman has not ruled out an exit in the summer. While a January move is off the cards, United are keeping close tabs as he is a player on their shortlist. Transfermarkt rate the 24-year-old at around £56million though he could cost more than that given his quality. De Ligt and Erik ten Hag previously worked with one another at Ajax.
