Arsenal still keen on signing Douglas Luiz
If Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz were to become available, Arsenal would still be eager to make a move for him. The Brazilian has been the star performer for Unai Emery's high flying Aston Villa team this season. The former Manchester City star has been the driving force from the midfield for the Villa team. Arsenal's interest in Luiz has been long term. They have been interested since the summer and even before, but Villa has never shown any interest in selling the midfielder they signed for £15m from Man City back in 2019. Football Transfers have reported that the Gunners are still interested in signing Luiz.
Chelsea linked with move for Benzema
Chelsea are being linked with a shock move for Karim Benzema. According to The Telegraph , the former Real Madrid striker has not reported for Al-ittihad's mid- season training camp in Dubai amid interest from the Blues. The 2022 Ballon d'Or winner signed a three-year deal worth £258million in the summer, sonce scoring 15 goals in 24 games.
Kylian Mbappe tipped to stay at PSG
Former Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Fernandez has tipped Kylian Mbappe to remain at the club despite links to Liverpool and Real Madrid. "Yes, he will stay at PSG," Fernandez said to beIN Sports . "When I hear everyone's statements, from the president of PSG, who takes the initiative and talks about the issue, when I see Kylian doing the same after a match about a signed agreement, when I see that PSG wants to invest in this new technical centre. We have brought Randal Kolo Muani and [Ousmane] Dembele, who are friends that Kylian wanted to have by his side. I think he will stay at PSG next season."
Man United open talks to sign Joao Neves
Manchester United are ready to open talks with Benfica over a big-money swoop to sign midfielder Joao Neves, according to a report from the Mirror . The Red Devils need to bring in central midfield reinforcements and they have identified the 19-year- old Portuguese international as a prime target ahead of the summer window. It appears they are ready to formalise their interest as the report from the Mirror claims that Manchester United are set to initiate talks with Benfica regarding a move for the 19-year-old defensive midfielder.
