In Nigeria's opening 2023 Africa Cup of Nations match against Equatorial Guinea, Victor Osimhen's fast equalizer prevented a shocking loss.

Immediately following Iban Salvador's opening goal for the underdogs, Osimhen pulled Nigeria back with a header.

Osimhen missed a late chance, but Jesus Owono made multiple stops in the second half to keep the Super Eagles at bay.

According to Nigerian football fans, despite scoring Osimhen is a 'fraud', fails to show why he is the CAF Player of the Year.

Both teams are now two points behind Ivory Coast, who defeated Guinea-Bissau 2-0 on Saturday to open the tournament.
