Only two players have seen their transfer value drop more than Jadon Sancho in the last two years

Only two players have seen their transfer value decrease more than Jadon Sancho over the past two years.

Sancho left Borussia Dortmund for Premier League giants Manchester United for a deal worth a reported £73 million back in the summer of 2021.

A lot was expected from the Englishman but he failed to produce anything close to the kind of form he showed during his time as a Dortmund player.

This season, Sancho was exiled from the first team fold after a public spat with United boss Erik ten Hag.

With his Old Trafford future in doubt, Sancho returned to Dortmund on loan this week for the remainder of the campaign.

Since January 2022, Sancho's transfer value has reportedly taken a huge hit due to his struggles in Manchester.

According to a list compiled by Football Transfers, Sancho's transfer value has decreased by €55 million.

The 23-year-old was third on the list of 10, with only Mason Greenwood and Romelu Lukaku above him.

Greenwood has seen his value drop by €58 million after his off-field problems led to him being loaned to La Liga side Getafe at the start of the 23/24 season.

Chelsea star Lukaku, who is currently on loan at Serie A side AS Roma, managed by former Blues boss Jose Mourinho has suffered the biggest drop.

The likes of Casemiro, Jack Grealish, David Alaba, Harry Maguire, Memphis Depay, Son Heung Min and Thibaut Courtois were also named on the list.

Upon signing for Dortmund for a second time, Sancho said: "I want to get started! I think my teammates will make it easy for me to get started here. I still know some of the players. And they'll feel just like me. They really want to get going too.

"It's down to how I've been received by the fans here. Then the discussions with Edin Terzic, Sebastian Kehl, Hans-Joachim Watzke, Marco Reus and other players. All of that has ensured that it now feels like the right decision."
