In a fresh paternity episode, Samuel Eto'o has been hit with a lawsuit by another one of his children.

Samuel Eto'o is once more in the headlines over his relationship with his children.

Months ago, Pulse Sports reported that Eto'o was sued by his Spanish daughter Erika do Rosario over his alleged failure to recognize her as his biological daughter and pay up in child support.

The case which was in the court for five years eventually came to an end with a "satisfactory" agreement for the young woman in July 2023 for the payment of nearly ₦105 million (€90,000) for unpaid maintenance pensions.

However, the FECAFOOT president has once more found himself in the crosshairs of justice after being called out again by another of his children.

The 42-year-old former Cameroonian footballer is reportedly entangled in another problems with another of his daughters, the young Italian Annie Eto'o Barranca.

Barranca, who was also recognized by a court ruling as Eto'o's biological daughter has reportedly sued the former Barcelona and Inter Milan striker over his alleged failure to fulfill his obligations as a father.

Spanish outlet, La Vanguardia reports that she has now decided to file a complaint against him, having seen her efforts to meet him fail on several occasions.

"My mother's insistence managed to get [Eto'o] on the phone while he was under judicial behavioral surveillance and I was finally able to exchange a few words. He proposed meeting us in London , but they were just words: when his contract in Qatar ended, that phone number was blocked and he never appeared again," she said,

In an exclusive interview with the aforementioned outlet, Annie's lawyer, Daniele Vianello explained what the lawsuit they have filed against the former footballer consists of.

"We have presented a complaint to the Milan Prosecutor's Office in which Annie requests that her father be convicted of having committed the crime of violation of family care obligations, punishable by up to one year in prison . A crime that dates back to nothing less than her birth and also with the aggravating factor of recidivism, since he has already been convicted of this same crime.

Annie Eto'o's lawyer, Daniele Vianello, who also confirmed that she tried to contact Samuel Eto'o on several occasions without luck also declared that jail term is very possible for the former footballer.

Vianello points out to the aforementioned media that prosecution could request a warrant for the footballers arrest to ensure his detention if he doesn't play ball.

"Perhaps he mistakenly believes that he is above the law and does not have to follow it. We could request the revocation of the suspension and obtain an international arrest warrant . Jail? "It is not ruled out that he would end up in prison , even ending up in prison if there were no alternative measures to his detention," Annie's lawyer was quoted to have said.

According to several reports, Annie Eto'o was born in August 2002.

However, she only became recognized as Samuel Eto'o's daughter in 2004 by the Court of 1st Instance of Palma de Mallorca.

Since 2012, Eto'o, one of the richest African footballers, was obliged to pay ₦11.7 million (€10,000) per month as alimony -  a series of payments that he allegedly never fulfilled.
