EPL: Why we beat Man Utd - Newcastle coach, Eddie Howe

Newcastle United boss, Eddie Howe has explained why his team defeated Manchester United 1-0 in Saturday's Premier League tie.

Anthony Gordon's goal was enough to give Newcastle the victory over Man United at St. James' Park.

Speaking after the game, Howe told TNT Sports that his players gave brilliant performance against the visitors.

"I could not be happier with the players tonight," Howe said.

"The performances we put in against three top teams were brilliant, so that will give us confidence.

"Then, when we get some players back, we can push on even further."
