Super Eagles of Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has recently made the news over his relationship with his longtime partner Jelicia Westhoff.
The 24-year-old German-born shot-stopper has been known to keep his relationship private and away from the media.
However, fresh reports have now suggested that Okoye's relationship may be in a crisis.
Maduka Okoye: Udinese goalkeeper's relationship allegedly in crisis
Last week, a report emerged that Okoye's beautiful girlfriend Jelicia Westhoff was spotted outside of his hotel in Italy after the pair allegedly had an argument.
Italian outlet Telefruili reports that a Carabinieri patrol intervened on November 28, around three o'clock, in Udine, near the Ambassador Hotel (where Okoye resides with his partner and son Emile), where there was a crying and half-naked woman, with her little son next to her and with a suitcase in tow.
The aforementioned outlet identified the woman to be Okoye's Dutch partner.
However, no further information was provided as to what led to their argument.
Westhoff did not also not file any complaint, as nothing was reported by the managers of the accommodation facility.
Meanwhile, Udinese reportedly stated that it is "a private matter", in relation to which nothing of "criminal relevance" has emerged and in which "the club is not involved".
Maduka Okoye and Jelicia Westhoff's relationship
Pulse Sports reported that Okoye is currently in a relationship with an Amsterdam-based lady known as Jelicia Westhoff and has often shown off photos of himself and his partner on his social media page.
Okoye, one of the most handsome footballers in the world, enjoys the privacy of his relationship and is very discreet about how he posts about his love life publicly.
Okoye, who has also been out of the Super Eagles squad for some months has since returned from injury and has already made appearances for his new club Udinese in the Serie A so far this season.
However, with the goalkeeping headache currently rocking the national team's ship, the Nigeria international could return for the Super Eagles squad ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) next year.
