Manchester United fans are all saying the same thing about Zinedine Zidane manager rumours

It's that time already. Manchester United are being linked with a manager switch, and a familiar face is being linked.

Here we go again, Erik ten Hag's dismal start to the season continued with elimination from the Carabao Cup last night, the competition he won last season. Now he is under serious pressure.

According to The Times, Ten Hag is on 'thin ice', with this now the worst start to the season for Manchester United for 61 years. It's historically bad.

Two potential names are being suggested, with it claimed Zinedine Zidane and Ruben Amorim are admired by Manchester United.

Manchester United fans react to Zinedine Zidane rumours

Zinedine Zidane is currently out of work, taking his time to selectively choose his next job after winning the Champions League three times with Real Madrid.

He did so with current Manchester United stars Raphael Varane and Casemiro, however, Manchester United fans are not buying the rumours that he would be interested if the job became available.

The reason for this? Manchester United supporters are putting it all on the Glazers.

One fan wrote: "Zinedine Zidane walked away from the Real Madrid job twice after not seeing eye to eye with Florentino Pérez, now you lot think he's keen to work with the Glazers???"

Another sensibly added: "Would Zidane come to United? When he left Madrid the second time, he wrote a lengthy statement tearing their executives apart. If that's what he thinks of a team obsessed with winning the CL what would he think of the Glazers?"

A further comment on social media read: "Zidane walked out on the greatest president football has ever seen twice because he wasn't backed, and you think he would even consider Glazers owned United? What world do you live in exactly?"

Another simply said: "Forget about Zinedine Zidane managing Manchester United under the Glazers."

There was another post which referred to the 2006 World Cup final, reading: "Zidane would never join MUFC his standards are top tier he'd resign after a week after headbutting Glazers."

Zidane to United may be a non-starter.

Manchester United owners the Glazers look unlikely to relinquish control anytime soon, having led an absolute charade of a takeover process which could end up with them remaining in majority charge of the club.

During the summer Manchester United could not sign the truly elite players due to a lack of funds, and the money which was available was not spent particularly wisely.

It is hard to believe Zinedine Zidane would be interested in trying to turn Manchester United around right now, which will mean debates over whether he is the right man, would be a completely moot point.
