Former Germany midfielder Torsten Frings has called the departure of Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich to Liverpool 'incomprehensible'.
Gravenberch left the Allianz Arena on transfer deadline day earlier this month to join Liverpool, in what was the Reds' fourth and final signing of the summer.
The Dutch midfielder has already made a good impression on Merseyside both on and off the pitch.
According to The Times, Gravenberch asked for the names and pictures of all the staff he would come across so he could address them by name.
And he also retraced the journey that the team bus usually takes to Anfield, so he could take a look at some of the murals of the club's players that are on the walls of the ground.
On the pitch, Gravenberch has been introduced carefully by manager Jurgen Klopp, as is common for a number of Liverpool signings over the years.
He played 73 minutes in the 3-1 Europa League win over LASK, providing an assist, and also assisted Cody Gakpo during Wednesday's 3-1 win over Leicester, having been handed another start.
The 21-year-old was signed by Bayern last summer, although was rarely given first team opportunities. Despite his pedigree built up at Ajax, the Bavarians decided to sell him this season.

That decision has angered Frings, who had a short stint at Bayern during his own playing career, and described Liverpool as a 'sensationally good' club to go to, as per German outlet Sport 1.
He explained (quotes via Sport Witness): "It is incomprehensible to many that such a young talent, for whom they paid a lot of money, goes to Liverpool - for an unbelievable amount of money.
"But you also have to understand the coach, to a certain extent. If a player doesn't fit into the philosophy, it might make more sense to tell the player that and then let him decide whether he tries to assert himself, or look for the opportunity at another club."
Gravenberch will hope to kick on with a run of starts at Liverpool, and will be in contention to play when the Reds take on Tottenham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening (5:30pm kick-off).
