A young lady identified as Tope Samuel has narrated how her Chinese lover, who impregnated her, asked her to sell their baby to him.
While speaking to the Punch Newspaper during an interview, Tope said, "The relationship started when I went to work for the company; he approached me and said that he liked me. I told him I was interested too. We started dating. After a while, I became pregnant. He first denied the pregnancy and later promised that if the baby resembled him, he would take responsibility."
"My family took responsibility for the pregnancy. Almost a month after the child was delivered, he started to misbehave. We had to fight before he fed me. The child resembled him, and he accepted to take responsibility."
Further speaking, she said, "My baby's name is Samoa David. I do not know the father's name. We dated for about 2 years, and he never told me where exactly he was from. When the fight started, I met with their officers to report him. We were summoned. He promised that he would change."
"After a week, he started misbehaving again. The officers called us again, and he said we should live as we deem fit. He then asked that I sell the child to him. I made it clear to him that we don't sell our children here in Nigeria. He loves his child; he carries and plays with him. His issue is giving him money for upkeep."
