Orban suspended for two games, fined €1,500

KAA Gent forward Gift Orban has been suspended for two games after he received a red card in the club's 2-1 victory over KAS Eupen on Sunday.

Orban was also fined €1,500 as part of the sanction.

It's the first time the 21-year-old will be sent off in 57 professional games.

The striker will serve one match suspension, while the other will be postponed.

Gent are expected to respond to the verdict no later than Tuesday.

Orban will miss the Buffalos league match against Royal Antwerp on Wednesday.

He is expected to return to action against RWD Molenbeek on Sunday.
