Lionel Messi: David Beckham hires ex-soldier & MMA fighter to protect new Inter Miami player

Inter Miami co-owner, David Beckham, has recruited a former combatant and soldier to guard Lionel Messi.

The new Inter Miami star has been a revelation for the team, having helped them win the Leagues Cup and has scored 10 goals in eight appearances.

The American team has gone to great efforts to safeguard Messi's safety since his arrival in the United States.

The Argentine icon is being monitored by his new security guard, who can even be seen following him around the field as he celebrates with his ripped bodyguard.

Yassine Chueko, a bodyguard, has been noticed by the public multiple times, and he was seen rushing down the side of the field following a victory over Cincinnati.

The Sun claims that when Leonardo Campana scored, Messi and his teammates walked to celebrate just off the side of the pitch.

His personal security guard was forced to sprint out of the dugout and take up a position close to the star player as a result.

The former Navy Seal Yassine Chueko was also seen escorting Messi closely to the team bus after the game.

According to reports, club owner David Beckham brought him specifically to the club after a security lapse last month in which a supporter ran onto the field and toward Messi.

Since the addition of seven-time Ballon d'Or winner, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba, Inter Miami has gone eight games without a loss on the field.

Messi assisted Inter Miami in pulling off yet another incredible comeback, and they will now meet Houston Dynamo in the US Open Cup final on September 27.

Inter Miami recently won the League Cup by defeating Nashville on penalties, making it Messi's first trophy for his new team.
