Nigerians have reacted to the recent comment made by the Athletics Integrity Unit about Tobi Amusan being cleared of doping charges.

Tobi Amusan was cleared of doping charges yesterday after finding out that she did not commit an Anti-Doping Rule Violation according to the Disciplinary Tribunal.

The Athletics Integrity Unit were disappointed by the decision made by the Disciplinary Tribunal and insisted that the decision will be reviewed.

A statement was released by the AIU Head Brett Clothier saying, "Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) is disappointed by this decision and will review the reasoning in detail before deciding whether to exercise its right of appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) within the applicable deadline."

Nigerians have taken to social media about the comment and have asked the AIU to let Tobi Amusan breathe.

Nigerians social media reaction

Several comments were made under the tweet shared on Twitter by the Athletics Integrity Unit yesterday.

The Athletics Integrity Unit have said that they will review the decision made by the Disciplinary Tribunal after they cleared Tobi of her doping charges.

A popular Twitter personality and media personal Rinu Oduala said, "Let her breathe, please. If the tribunal said she hasn't committed a violation. What's Brett Clothier's own?"

Nigerians have reacted on social media and defended Tobi Amusan saying that Brett Clothier and AIU should let her be.

Another Nigerian replied to Rinu, "This is how they witch hunt black Athletes. They did the same with a black tennis player, @MikaelYmer over this same whereabouts rule.

"The disciplinary Committee absolved him but this AIU appealed and got him suspended for 18 months. The Brett Clothier fellow is clearly a racist.
