Ancelotti tells two Real Madrid players he can only keep one of them

Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti has told his two players, Toni Kroos and Fede Valverde that he can only keep one of them at the club this season as there is only one free space in midfield, according to El Nacional.

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is expected to be a starter, while Aurelien Tchouameni looks set to be a mainstay in the pivot role.

Real Madrid's summer signing Jude Bellingham is also set to be a key player this season for Ancelotti's side, so there is only one spot remaining in the four-man midfield.

However, Kroos and Valverde have both been key players for Los Blancos recently.

While Kross flourishes with his metronomic passing control, Valverde is more of an engine and is also more dynamic.

Kroos has made 417 appearances for Real Madrid since arriving at Santiago Bernabeu in 2014. The German has scored 27 goals and provided 89 assists across competitions so far.

Valverde, on the other hand, was in brilliant form for Madrid last season, scoring 12 goals and registering seven assists in 56 games across competitions.

But Real Madrid can accommodate only one of the midfielders in the team next season and Kroos is the more likely one to start ahead of Valverde.
