Actress Lilian Afegbai aka Lilyafe has stated she bleached while growing up.

In an exposé with popular media personality, Toke Makinwa on the latest episode of 'Toke Moments', the duo discussed many issues from dating to skin bleaching and more.

Speaking, the chocolate skinned former Big Brother Africa housemate said the reason why many will question or doubt that she has acted in several Nollywood movies in the past is because she was fair at the time as a result of bleaching.

During her expository chat with Makinwa, Afegbai joggled between English language and Pidgin stating she's thankful to have gone through certain life's phases because she learnt valuable lessons through them.

She said: "I'm happy for all those things I did. Imagine of I'm doing it now, do you know how stupid I'll look?

"Imagine if I buy bag now and now put it .....I no fit. If you no know the price, e no matter. People wey know the price, know am.

"But I think it's a phase like you said and I'm happy that I went through that phase.

'Like when I was growing up, I bleached. Yeah, I bleached.

"My new video that I'm dropping for 'Akanchawa Baddie', I spoke about it

"You'll now see people come on some blogs and say, 'Which movie she don act?'

"I no blame una. I fair for the one wey you dey watch. Naim make you no know say na me. Because if not, you no go fit insult me like that na. Me wey don dey act from university.

"They say, 'Ehn! Nigerian is 10million people, actress is 9million. Which movie you don act? Comot for here'.

"No be your fault, na me wey go bleach; so I come fair. The one you dey watch, I fair. So when you see me, you no go know say na me. So, you don watch 10 of my movies, I fair.

"This one wey I black now, I never do a lot. So, I no fit match up with those ones. That's the problem."
