A Nigerian man, Solomon Osinloye, has accused some police officers in Lagos of planting drugs in his uber and asking him to pay N50000 to be freed.

In a Twitter thread, Solomon said his insistence that he is an asthma patient and had recently done a drug test made the officers set him free. He alleged that the officers told him if they wanted to set him up they would.

When asked by Lagos state police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, if he would be able to recognise the police officers if he sees them, Solomon replied in the affirmative.
