Chelsea name 1 player they will sell to raise funds for their target this summer

Chelsea are reportedly ready to show their striker Michy Batshuayi the exit doors this summer following his failure to impress his managers at the club.

The Belgian star moved to Stamford Bridge from Olympique Marseille in 2016 in a deal valued around £33 million back then.

Having made 24 appearances so far this campaign, the 26-year-old has scored six goals and two assists across competitions for the Blues, but it seems the figure is not good enough for his bosses.

Due to his lack of impact, Chelsea have had to send him on loan to Dortmund, Valencia and Crystal Palace, hoping he would up his game on his return but nothing appears to have changed.

The London club is now ready to offload the attacker as Frank Lampard is ready to sign a quality replacement when the transfer window opens.

He has just one more year on his deal with the Blues and they will not want him to walk out for free without making anything on him.

Meanwhile, City rivals West Ham United are leading the chase for his signature this summer as reported by SunSport.

The Hammers are said to be in search of a striker after record signing Sebastien Haller failed to justify his heavy fee so far with just seven goals according to HLN.

Chelsea wanted £40 million for Batshuayi initially but know they will have to significantly drop their asking price in order to sell.

The Belgian on the other hand wants to remain at the Bridge until next summer so he can decide where he wants to go next.
