Transfer: What Coutinho said about leaving Barcelona for Man United

Barcelona ace, Philippe Coutinho has admitted that he could leave Nou Camp amid interest from Manchester United after just 18 months at the club.

We reported that the Brazil international had drawn interest from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side in recent weeks.

The midfielder is among the seven players placed by Barcelona on transfer list.

Barcelona are open to selling Coutinho in this summer's transfer window, but are demanding a transfer fee of at least £80million for the player.

Coutinho has failed to impress since arriving from Liverpool in a £105million deal in January 2018 despite playing his part in two La Liga title wins.

A disappointing performance against his former club at Anfield saw Barcelona crash out of the UEFA Champions League last season, raising more questions about the 26-year-old.

Asked about his future with Barca amid interest from Man United, Coutinho was quoted by Metro UK as telling reporters: "I don't know if I will continue at Barcelona.

"Nobody knows about the future, and right now I am focused on playing with my national team at the Copa America."

Coutinho is currently on international duty for the 2019 Copa America in Brazil.
