Super Eagles star sets 1 new record in English Premier League after Saturday's EPL matches

Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi has created a new personal appearance record in the Premier League after making Leicester City squad that hammered relegated Huddersfield Town 4-1 on Saturday, April 6, away from home.

Ndidi played for 87 minutes against the Terriers during the match to take his overall game time for the campaign to 2,935 minutes, which incidentally, is his best season since his switch to the English topflight from Belgian side Racing Genk back in January 2017.

Previously, the Nigerian international's best campaign was during the 2017-2018 when he clocked 2,899 minutes in 33 appearances, but a hamstring injury towards the end of the season after his final time.

Interestingly, if the defensive midfielder plays any part in Leicester City's fixture against Newcastle United, the Eagles ace would have taken part in 34 games in a single campaign.

At the moment, Ndidi has already equaled his personal best goals record of two created in his debut season in the EPL.

And out of 83 matches in the top flight, Ndidi has started 82 so far
