Manchester City have sealed a move for highly-rated midfielder Ante Palaversa from Hajduk Split but the youngster will remain on loan at the Croatian outfit.

According to reports, the 18-year-old Palaversa, who cost about £7m to acquire passed the mandatory medical test in Manchester this week.

In addition, the report revealed that Palaversa is likely to remain on loan until the end of the 2019-20 campaign, but Man City can still end the loan deal at the end of 2019.

"I'm Hajduk's saying, playing at the Poljud was always my dream, and after all, I'm happy to see the work of the Hajduk Academy recognized one of the biggest clubs in the world.

"Thanks to Manchester City on the trust, there is still a lot of work ahead for me, I have not yet shown all I can and I hope to play for Hajduk to justify the great trust I received from England champions," he stressed.

"There is still a lot of work ahead of me."

Palaversa has netted two times in 15 matches since marking his debut for Hajduk in July 2018.

The attacking midfielder has featured for Croatia Under-14 to Under-19 youth teams so far and has received positive reviews from various managers he played under.
