Bale nets hat-trick as Real Madrid beat Kashima to reach Club World Cup final

Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid have qualified for the final of this year's Club World Cup after defeating Japanese club Kashima 3-1 on Wednesday evening, December 19.

Gareth Bale was on fire for Real Madrid in this encounter scoring three goals and thereby becoming the third player to score a Club World Cup hat-trick.

Barcelona star Luis Suarez and Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo are the other two players who have scored hat-trick in the Club World Cup.

Bale scored his three goals in the 44th, 53rd, 55th minute respectively as Shoma Doi netted the only goal for Kashima in the 78th minute.

Real Madrid are now on course to secure a third consecutive title to follow up their hat-trick of Champions League crowns.

Los Blancos will take on UAE side Al Ain in the final on Saturday after they beat River Plate on penalties on Tuesday night, December 18.
