Arsenal star Ozil to be offered escape route as top Italian team set to move for him

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil may be offloaded to Serie A giants Inter Milan during the forthcoming winter transfer window.

According to a UK Sun report, the San Siro dwellers are among few clubs with the financial backing to afford the £350,000-a-week former Germany international, who has spent six years at the Emirates.

Despite not being considered for a starting role in Arsenal's recent games by Unai Emery, the 30-year-old Ozil is ready to remain at the Emirates until the end of the campaign in the summer.

Interestingly, Inter Milan were keen on signing Ozil before he sealed a new contract last January, keeping him at Arsenal until 2021.

However, the midfielder was not listed for action against Bournemouth, critics are now questioning the Germans work-rate during away matches.

The report further claimed that Arsenal eggheads are likely to deal with Ozil just the same way they dealt with Aaron Ramsey's situation.

Currently, Ozil has two years left in his present deal but club chiefs might decide to offload to recoup in the coming window, in order to bring in a younger players with bigger resale value in future.
