Aisha Buhari, wife of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has moved with her family from Daura, Katsina State, to their Kaduna residence.
The relocation took place on Sunday, July 28, 2025, with the former First Lady and her family arriving at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Kaduna.
They were warmly received by a high-powered delegation led by the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, and the Majority Leader of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Munira Tanimu.
The family has now settled in the former president's residence at Ungwan Rimi GRA - the same house Buhari lived in before his medical trip to London during his presidency.
This move comes months after the late president himself relocated from Daura to the Kaduna home in February 2025, following nearly two years of a quiet, low-profile life after leaving office in May 2023.
His return to Kaduna was then marked by the presence of top dignitaries including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, and Kaduna Governor Uba Sani.
