General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said that no amount of insults or verbal attacks will push him to anger or provoke him.
Adeboye made this statement during the July Holy Ghost Service held on Friday night at the RCCG Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State.
The respected cleric revealed that despite being the target of constant criticism and negative remarks, he remains focused and determined not to lose his temper or derail from his mission.
"Anger is temporary madness," Adeboye said. "You don't want to be mad. Some people will do things to provoke you, but don't fall into their trap. One of the easiest ways to destroy your destiny is through anger."
He noted that several individuals have deliberately said "all kinds of nonsense" about him, hoping to stir his emotions, but insisted he would not fall for such distractions.
"A lot of people have been saying whatever they like about me. They are waiting for me to get angry one day, but I won't. I'm going to reach my goal," Adeboye said.
Adeboye also shared an encounter with an African head of state who sought divine healing after medical interventions failed.
The head of state reportedly heard about Adeboye's ministry and sent for him.
"I remember a head of state somewhere in Africa who had a problem that no doctor could handle. He heard that there is a man of God who could heal him, so he sent for me," Adeboye recalled.
However, Adeboye declined the invitation, saying his schedule was already booked. He instructed the pastor in that country to inform the president that he was unavailable.
"I told the pastor to let the excellency know I was very busy. I didn't want to explain that there is one excellency more excellent than the other," he said.
Despite the initial refusal, Adeboye explained that the head of state eventually visited the Redemption Camp, and on the very day he arrived, God solved his problem.
