Tompolo in the viral videos was seen dancing on ₦1,000 notes during his 54th birthday celebration in April.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is yet to arrest ex-militant leader Government Ekpemupolo, widely known as Tompolo.
This comes after he was seen in a viral video abusing the naira.
The EFCC had on May 12, stated via its official handle wrote: "Nobody is above the law. Tompolo will have questions to answer!"
Tompolo in the viral videos was seen dancing on ₦1,000 notes during his 54th birthday celebration in April.
In other videos, some individuals were seen spraying the naira at his feet, while he danced - both actions are criminal under Nigeria's Central Bank Act.
Many had called on the EFCC to arrest highly placed individuals, especially at a time they are leading a compaign against ordinary Nigerians who have abused the naira.
Under Section 21 of the CBN Act, it is a punishable offence to spray, dance on, or mutilate the naira. Tompolo's actions in the video - both stamping on and being sprayed with naira notes - appear to breach this law.
The EFCC is yet to give an update on Tompolo's matter.
