The 2026 Spanish Super Cup semi-final fixtures have been confirmed with one game still remaining in the 2024/25 LaLiga season.
We reported that the top four places in the 2024/25 LaLiga are already decided.
Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid and Athletic Club fill the top four spots in the LaLiga table.
This means that all the four clubs will compete in the Spanish Super Cup in January 2026.
Teams that finish in the top two in La Liga and the two finalists of the Copa del Rey usually take their place in the competition.
However, as this season first and second in the league, Barcelona and Real Madrid, also met in the final of the Copa del Rey.
This means that the teams that finished in third and fourth in the LaLiga, Atlético Madrid and Athletic Club, take their places in the Super Cup.
In the semi-finals of the competition La Liga champions Barça will face fourth placed Athletic Club, just as they did in 2025.
The other semi-final will see a Madrid derby between Atlético and Real.
All four clubs have had success in the competition in the past.
Barcelona have won the Spanish Super Cup on 15 occasions, Real Madrid (13), Athletic Club (3) and Atlético (2).
The Blaugrana are the current holders of the Spanish Super Cup.
