According to her, a man riding a motorcycle approached her stall and expressed interest in buying all her smoked fish.

She initially priced the goods at GHS 950, but after some negotiation, they both agreed on GHS 800. The man then handed over the payment in cash and left with the fish.

It wasn't until the woman boarded a public vehicle and attempted to pay her fare that she realized something was wrong.

The driver, after inspecting the money, told her the notes were fake. Shocked and confused, the woman argued with the driver, believing the money was genuine.

Sadly, it turned out the driver was right. Upon closer inspection, she confirmed that the GHS 800 given to her was indeed counterfeit.

The heartbreaking incident has since sparked reactions on social media.
