According to a report, an official of the Nigeria Football Federation has revealed that Portuguese tactician Antonio Canceicao is currently the favourite to emerge as the new manager of the Super Eagles of Nigeria. The same source reports that Antonio Canceicao has met the requirements for the position of the Nigerian head coach.
It is important to point out that Antonio Canceicao has a lot of experience in African football. This is because of the fact that he used to work as the manager of the Cameroonian national team. He led the Cameroonian national team to the semi final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
However, Own Goal Nigeria reports that the NFF official also said that Finidi George will still be a part of the managerial team even if he is not appointed as the next permanent manager of the Super Eagles of Nigeria. Finidi George worked under former manager Jose Peseiro.
