Current Premier League Table Ahead of Saturday's Games

Chelsea will hope to exploit Brentford's significant list of injury absentees when the two sides meet at the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday. While the Blues have some significant players missing themselves, Mauricio Pochettino's still found a moment of quality late on in midweek to beat Leeds 3-2 and book their spot in the FA Cup quarterfinals. In the Premier League, however, a consistent run is needed to ensure they don't drop below 12th place, where they finished in 2022/23.

Meanwhile, following a rare fortnight with no Premier League football, Tottenham Hotspur grace the North London soil again on Saturday afternoon, hosting near neighbours Crystal Palace in a capital derby. Ange Postecoglou's men went down 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers two weeks ago, while the Oliver Glasner era at Selhurst Park began with a 3-0 rout of Burnley last weekend.

Also, Liverpool will continue their fight for the Premier League title with a trip to face Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon. The two sides are at opposite ends of the table, but they are both desperate for points. Liverpool is one ahead of Manchester City at the top and will be hoping rivals Manchester United can do them a favour during the Manchester derby on Sunday.
