The popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels Nwoko has reacted after her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko Urged the president to stop the use of dollars currency in Nigeria.
According to a post Regina Daniels made on her Instagram page, she shared video of her husband Ned Nwoko talking during a meeting regarding use of dollars. Ned Nwoko said "thank you Mr. President thte first thing, I lamented the fundamental problem we have in Nigeria and that is the use of dual currencies in Nigeria, there's know other economy that can survive with that" he said.
He added that "we must understand that we have relegated Naira to the background, everybody is talking about Dollars and Dollars is what is causing the problems. It might be a difficult thing to contemplate, but it has to be done".
He also said "what have to be done is that we have to stop the use of dollars in Nigeria. Once Mr. President do that, everything will begin to take shape, Therefore they should make the use of Naira compulsory by everyone, even the sold of Crude oil should be done in Naira and anyone who is coming to Nigeria for visit or tourist must come here with Naira", Nwoko added.
After Regina Daniels shared the video on her Instagram page, she reacted and said it is indeed true that our Naira has been relegated to the background. Everyone is just talking about the increase in dollars which clearly affects the cost of living of people that has its local currency, Regina said and asked what her followers think about what her husband said.
