Manchester United making moves to sign 19-year-old midfielder to replace Casemiro

Manchester United football club will most definitely remain keen on further strengthening their midfield options under the management of Erik ten Hag before the transfer window closes.

The Old Trafford side have endured a rather disappointing start to the 2023/2024 season and are currently occupying the 7th position on the Premier League table so far.

However, with experienced defensive midfielder Casemiro struggling with varying injuries since the start of this season, Manchester United football club are now on the lookout for a younger replacement.

And if reports are anything to go by, then Manchester United football club have been linked with a move for highly rated LDU Quito defensive midfielder Oscar Zambrano.

The young defensive midfielder was hugely involved for LDU Quito during the season as he made a total of 51 appearances, scoring one goal and creating one assist.

His excellent displays in that defensive midfield role is believed to have caught the attention of Manchester United and according to reports from The Sun, the Premier League side are keen on signing him.

The reports further claimed that Manchester United football club are really interested in the highly rated Oscar Zambrano and are now making moves to bring him to Europe.

It is evident that experienced defensive midfielder Casemiro has struggled with fitness issues for the large part of this season, and it would only make sense for Manchester United to sign a new midfielder.

And with Oscar Zambrano on their radar, it remains to be seen if Manchester United football club will be able to reach an agreement with LDU Quito and sign the young defensive midfielder this month.
