EPL: Nothing will hold you back - Eriksen tells Lockyer what do to after cardiac arrest

Manchester United midfielder, Christian Eriksen has sent advice and support to Tom Lockyer after Luton Town captain's cardiac arrest on the pitch last Saturday.

Recall that Lockyer collapsed in the 55th minute of Luton's Premier League match at Bournemouth, which was later abandoned.

He received immediate medical attention on the pitch before being taken to hospital.

His club later announced that their skipper had suffered a cardiac arrest but was in a 'stable' condition.

Speaking on the developments, Eriksen, who suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed on the pitch during Denmark's World Cup group game against Finland, told Betfred that the 29-year-old should listen to the doctors and nothing will hold him back.

"Well first of all, I hope he [Lockyer] is okay," Eriksen told Betfred.

"I have read and seen what's happened and I hope he's okay, takes his time, is in a healthy way and his family are there to support him. I cross my fingers that he is fine.

"My advice to him would be to make the best decision you can. Listen to the doctors and if [they] tell you to maybe do something else, then respect that.

"There is nothing that is going to hold you back, but in the end it all depends on how he's feeling and what the doctors are saying. He has to make the decision with his family on what is next, but he should take his time and focus on himself."
