What happened to Enzo and Mudryk? Pochettino answers

Chelsea fans were surprised to see Enzo Fernandez and Mykhailo Mudryk not in the squad for the Brentford game.

Speaking ahead of kick-off, Mauricio Pochettino gave an update and said: "Both Enzo and Misha felt something in training yesterday, small muscle injuries for them both.

"We hoped they would be okay to be in the squad but unfortunately they aren't quite ready. Neither of them are big issues but we didn't want to take any risks.

"With Enzo especially, he and his partner have just had a baby so maybe that was a reason why he was a little uncomfortable yesterday! He will now rest and recover and hopefully be back with the team as soon as possible.

"Also with Misha, he was feeling a little uncomfortable but it's not a big problem. We will miss both of them today but that is why we have a big squad, to cope with issues like this."

While fans will be gutted to learn of two more injuries to the squad, Poch has reaffirmed that these are small injuries that shouldn't keep either out for long.
