Nya Etok Ezekiel, a former governorship candidate of the ADC in Akwa-Ibom State, has stated that the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike is aware that his boss is a Muslim, and he will never do anything in Abuja that will be against the Muslim religion.
He made this statement in an interview with AIT while reacting to the recent allegations against Wike by prominent Islamic cleric, Sheikh Gumi. Nya Etok Ezekiel also said that Wike is the kind of leader who treats individuals without bias, regardless of whether they are Christians or Muslims, and that he is needed in the present administration
In Nya Etok Ezekiel's words: "If I know Wike well, Wike is a politician. Wike knows that his boss is a Muslim and he will not in the FCT do anything that can be traced to be something that he has done against the Muslim religion. I can tell you that for free. But he is going to be a man that if you are on the way, he couldn't care less whether you are a Muslim or a Christian and we need people like Wike and El-Rufai in this administration".
