Pat Nevin upset over Pochettino's decision to let Chelsea star leave

Former Chelsea ace, Pat Nevin has admitted he is 'upset' with Chelsea and their manager Mauricio Pochettino's decision to let Joao Felix leave the club.

Felix had joined Chelsea on a six-month loan deal from Atletico Madrid in January this season.

Chelsea had the option to make the player's deal permanent, but the Premier League giants and their manager opted not to retain the Portugal international.

Felix ended up returning to his parent club Atletico over the summer and eventually joined Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona on another loan.

The 23-year-old has been impressive for Xavi's side so far this season.

Nevin believes Pochettino should have kept Felix at Chelsea, adding that the player could have been central to the Blues squad.

"I was upset to see Joao Felix go as I thought he was fabulous. Pochettino probably made the decision to not keep him, but I thought he could've been central to the squad," Nevin told OLBG (as quoted by football London).

"Just look at his form at Barcelona!"
