Nigerian attacking midfielder Nehemiah Oriola has given God the glory after he ended his relationship with Premier League giants Manchester United.

Oriola has swapped Old Trafford for the American Express following a deadline day transfer to fellow Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion.

The youngster confirmed the transfer on his official Instagram account on Friday.

Oriola at United

The 16-year-old moved to Man United as a 13-year-old following his exit from West Ham United three years ago.

He joined the Red Devils under-16s team and took to his Instagram page to share the moment with a picture of himself and the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.

It was a dream come true for the youngster who played once for the United's under-18s last season.

However, according to a report from United in Focus, the youngster's name was missing from the list of Red Devils' Professional Development Group players for the 2023/24 season.

Oriola sealed a deadline day transfer having impressed the Seagulls during a trial.

He had spent the last four weeks at the Amex and featured three times for the club's under-16s before the move was made official on the last day of the summer transfer.

The Nigerian midfielder took to his IG page to celebrate his latest adventure with his maker.

He praised God for turning his mourning to dancing after his departure from Manchester United.

"You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God I will give thanks to you forever- Psalms 30:11-12," he added.
