Why Tinubu spent 2 years for 4-year course at Chicago State University - Professor Farooq Kperogi reveals.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

A Nigerian professor based in the United States (US) Farooq Kperogi, has revealed why President Bola Ahmed Tinubu spent just 2 years for a 4-year course at Chicago State University.

Kperogi said he is confident that President Tinubu graduated from Chicago State University and was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting.

The Professor of Journalism and Emerging Media at Kennesaw State University's School of Communication and Media said President Tinubu attended CSU for two years and graduated in 1979.

In his weekly column, Kperogi said President Tinubu spent 2 years for a 4-year course at Chicago State University because he transferred his two years of college credit from Richard J. Daley College to CSU.

"His study at CSU-a four-year, state-funded, historically Black university-was shortened because he transferred two years' worth of college credit from Richard J. Daley College, a community college (equivalent to a diploma-awarding institution in Nigeria) in Chicago, which started life as William J. Bogan Junior College in 1960, got renamed Southwest College in 1970, and got renamed yet again as Richard J. Daley College in 1976."

Farooq Kperogi, on Saturday, August 2, said there is no question that the man who is known today as President Bola Ahmed Tinubu attended CSU for two years and graduated from it in 1979.

US-based Prof. Kperogi said friends and colleagues at the institution confirmed to him that Tinubu truly passed out from CSU.

Chicago State University has locked its Twitter account @ChicagoState, following a bombardment of messages from Nigerians over the academic records of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The US institution applied the 'protect your posts' feature on X which allows the Chicago University to conceal its contents from persons who are not followers.

President Bola Tinubu's days as Nigeria's number-one citizen could be numbered, as the Chicago State University in the United States is reportedly ready to unveil his credentials during his days as a student of the institution.

The People's Democratic Party (PDP), in a tweet on Thursday, August 24, claimed that the institution has officially agreed that the credentials of Nigeria's president would be made available to the court.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given reasons why a United States Court should not release his academic records at the Chicago State University in Illinois.

The president stated this in a response document to the legal application filed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar seeking the release of his academic records.
