I believe I can fly - fans troll Onana for conceding funny goal to Awoniyi

Andre Onana faces heat once again after conceding comical goal to Nottingham Forest's Taiwo Awoniyi.

Fans have taken to social media to slam Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana for conceding a comical goal against Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi.

The Red Devils fought from behind to beat the Tricky Trees 3-2, but their Cameroonian shot-stopper could not avoid online criticism.

What happened

The Red Devils returned to Old Trafford to face the Tricky Trees after a disappointing defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend.

They were in for a shock as they suffered an early goal from a Taiwo Awoniyi strike in only the second minute of the match.

The Nigerian striker broke free from the halfway line and ran straight towards the United goal, setting himself up 1v1 with Onana.

Awoniyi then sold the Cameroonian a dummy, which made the goalkeeper make a weird movement before putting the ball past him.

Two minutes later, Willy Boly doubled Manchester United's problems, making the evening even more miserable for the home supporters.

But Erik ten Hag's team recovered, and with goals from Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in the second half and a goal from Christian Eriksen in the first, they completed a comeback.

Fans troll Onana

Onana continues to be a victim of football banter and memes since his signing with the Manchester Giants.

Stills from the goal he conceded to Awoniyi showed the goalkeeper in a comical light, and it looked like he was levitating.

Fans took the chance to mock him, with one user referencing the R. Kelly smash hit "I Believe I Can Fly."
