EPL: It's going to be more difficult to win title next season - Arteta

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has admitted it would be more difficult to win the Premier League title next season.

The Gunners finished second last term behind Manchester City, who went on to clinch the Treble.

Arteta's men fell off in the last weeks of the campaign, after staying top for over 200 days.

The Spaniard has now added Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz to that squad.

"It will be more difficult for sure, because the league is going to go to a different level again, which is already incredible," Arteta told ESPN.

"And obviously playing the Champions League, which we haven't played in many years at the club.

"That's why we need a different squad from what we had last year, I think what we've done this summer is related to that, and more quality as well, for sure."
