Zola warns Chelsea, identifies Nigerian striker as Lukaku's successor at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea legend, Gianfranco Zola, has warned the club not to take anything for granted when they tackle Juventus in the Champions League on September 29 at the Allianz Stadium.

Zola also identified Nigerian and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, as Romelu Lukaku's heir at Chelsea.

"Chelsea shouldn't take anything for granted," Zola told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Tuchel is an intelligent coach and Chelsea are a top team. The game against Tottenham was impressive. There is a lot of quality there. They withstood the impact of Spurs in the first half and won the game in the second half, by scoring three goals.

"However, Juventus never die, the first half against Milan was good. They can make up for lost ground in Serie A."

Zola added, "Napoli are really strong in every department.

"They have Osimhen, Insigne and Politano up front, they have quality in midfield, a solid defence with Kalidou Koulibaly and two reliable goalkeepers. I can't see weak points in their team.

"I didn't know Osimhen when he arrived last year, but I have studied him a little and I have discovered a talented player.

"His movements are so good and his athletic strength can be devastating. He is Lukaku's heir, he is still young and with room for improvement."

Meanwhile, Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille in the summer of 2020.

The 22-year-old scored 10 goals in 30 appearances with Napoli in his first season at the Serie A club.
